This is a wonderful, sweet + salty crunchy superfood slaw salad. This delicious protein packed superfood slaw is great as a side or main dish. It is packed with anti-inflammatory foods, vitamins and minerals. It makes an excellent side for a summer BBQ or as your main course. What I love about this slaw is it’s sweet, salty and crunchy. The ingredients are simple and I highly encourage you to experiment with adding or substituting different fruits & veggies.

As you are starting to notice I am a big fan of cooking with turmeric. I’ll tell you why. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It has a variety of health benefits such as preventing cancer, immune system booster, improves liver function, improves digestion, and many more powerful benefits. My inspiration for these recipes comes from the idea that foods are healing and nourishing our bodies. I choose ingredients  based on their nutritional content. I like to place them all in a bowl next to each other before I mix just to see the colors and textures of the dish.

I am passionate about creating delicious meals that heal our bodies with strong anti-inflammatory  ingredients. I found myself suffering from inflammation a few years ago and embarked on a journey to heal my body. I came across the anti-inflammatory diet and have committed to eating it ever since. This superfood slaw has an array of anti-inflammatory ingredients. Here is the nutritional breakdown of the ingredients.

Cilantro (Coriander)

High in antioxidants & minerals. Removes heavy metals from the body. Also a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins A, C, E, K, calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium.


Promotes digestion and soothes the stomach in case of indigestion or inflammation

Mixed greens

High in vitamin C, vitamin K, and folate. It’s a good source of beta carotene, which converts into vitamin A in the body.

Red Bell Pepper

Excellent source of vitamin C (1/2 cup meets your daily requirement), vitamin E & A.


Loaded with antioxidants, fiber, vitamin K, manganese and vitamin C, and a strong anti-inflammatory.

Fresh + Delicious superfood slaw salad.

Serves: 4


4 cups chopped organic cabbage

2 cups mixed greens

1/2 cup organic cooked quinoa

1/2 cup diced organic apple

1/2 cup organic red bell pepper

1/2 cup organic radish

1/8 cup organic hemp seeds

1/2 cup chopped cashews

1/2 cup organic blueberries

1/4 cup organic dried cranberries (no sugar added)

1/8 cup sunflower seeds

1/8 cup organic cilantro

1/8 cup organic mint

1 organic avocado

1/2 Meyer lemon

1/4 cup Trader Joes Almond butter turmeric salad dressing – alternatively make your own

Himalayan sea salt & ground black pepper


  1. Cook 1/2 cup organic quinoa, chill in freezer while you prepare the rest.
  2. Chop cabbage and mixed greens & place in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Dice bell pepper, radish, apple, cilantro & mint.
  4. Add all diced veggies, herbs, nuts, berries & seeds into the mixing bowl.
  5. Add dressing, salt + pepper then mix together.
  6. Garnish with 1/4 avocado, season with salt + pepper, drizzle with dressing.
  7. Enjoy!
